Privacy Policy

LoveType does not require you to create an account, register, or log in to use the service. We do not collect your name, phone number, home address, or other personal identification information. The personality assessment is completed entirely within your browser, and your test responses are processed locally on your device.

Your in-progress answers, latest free result, report access link information, and language preference are stored locally in your browser using localStorage. Raw question-level answers stay on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

LoveType uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website usage, measure traffic, and improve the product experience. Google Analytics is a third-party analytics service and may collect information such as device/browser information, approximate location, traffic source, and website usage information according to Google's own policies. We do not sell analytics data and do not use it to create detailed personal profiles.

Premium access is available as a one-time purchase of US$4.99. Payments are processed by Creem, a third-party payment provider. When you make a purchase, you will be redirected to Creem's hosted checkout page. LoveType does not directly process, store, or have access to your credit card numbers, debit card numbers, CVV, or full payment credentials. These are handled by Creem according to their own privacy and security policies.

We use the limited information available to us to operate and improve the LoveType service, understand general usage patterns, and provide customer support. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

We do not share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to operate the service. This includes Google Analytics for usage measurement and Creem for payment processing. These third parties have their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.

In-progress answers remain in your browser for a limited period and are removed after completion or expiry. If you purchase Premium, LoveType stores the minimum derived report summary and order metadata needed to verify and restore your purchased report. Raw question-level answers are not stored on our servers. Payment records are retained by Creem in accordance with their own data retention policies.

LoveType uses browser localStorage to store draft progress, the latest result, report access link information, and language preference. We do not use tracking cookies beyond what Google Analytics may set according to its own policies. You can clear your localStorage data at any time through your browser settings.

LoveType is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

We take reasonable measures to protect the information available to us. Since most data is stored locally in your browser, the security of your test results largely depends on the security of your own device and browser. Payment information is protected by Creem's security measures.

You can clear your browser's localStorage at any time to remove your test results and preferences from your device. You can also choose not to use the service or to use it without purchasing Premium features.

LoveType may link to or integrate with third-party services, including Google Analytics and Creem. These services operate under their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of LoveType after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
